Handover 23rd June 2024
What a stunning day and venue for the Ross River Rotary Club handover luncheon on Sunday at the Yacht Club.  
It was a heartfelt farewell to our previous president Ken Martin, who led us with great dedication. Congratulations to our new president Trevor Philipson and the incoming Rotary board.  Your leadership will surely inspire us all in the coming year.

Donations were made to Angel Flight, Red Cross House, Food Relief NQ, Jifunze International, and Legacy. Thank you for making a real difference in our community and beyond.

The event was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a delicious meal that made it a truly memorable afternoon.  

Looking forward to another fantastic year of service and fellowship with Rotary!

Congratulations to Sarah Wonnacott recipient of 2024 Professor Phillip Summers Incentive Prize!
 
History of the prize
This prize was founded in 2010 and maintained with donations from the Ross River Rotary Club in memory of Professor Phillip Summers. The prize is awarded to the student enrolled in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science who is progressing to year 4 who has shown the most improved performance across years 2 & 3 based on a comparison of exam results over the two years.
Incredible Community Support Alert!
Big shoutout to Neville Maluga from Rotary Club of Ross River for his amazing efforts! Neville's been working hard to assist the Red Cross Wellness Centre at the Townsville University Hospital. Recently, he helped purchase and install two much-needed range hoods, making a real difference for guests and staff.
The Red Cross Wellness Centre provides crucial support and accommodation to patients undergoing treatment at the Townsville University Hospital , and these upgrades will enhance their experience immensely. Huge thanks to Neville and the Rotary Club for their dedication to making our community a better place! #RotaryService #CommunitySupport

Step UP for Down Syndrome BBQ 2023
What a perfect day at The Strand on Saturday! The Ross River Rotary Club members came together to host a BBQ at the StepUP! for Down Syndrome Townsville fundraising event for Down Syndrome Association of Qld.
 
The gorgeous weather and picturesque location couldn't have been more perfect. The sun was shining, the sea breeze was invigorating, and the smiles on everyone's faces were truly infectious.
 
A huge thanks to Sunrise Rotary Townsville who provided us with both the barbeque trailer and their dedicated members David Roderick and Brian Dobson who cooked up a storm!

Ross River Rotary Club has weekly dinner meetings allowing you to learn something new, both from club members, who are endless sources of knowledge, and from weekly guest speakers from within and outside the club.   
 
We have many small projects - check out the rest of our website to see what we do!

Ross River Rotary members enjoy fun activities together.  We recently had a weekend away to the Richmond Bush Sprints and have plans for another in the near future.
